JLT committed back in the 1970s to specialise in local government and has continued to evolve solutions. Among its services and programs are the Mutual/cooperative self-insurance model which has become an alternative to traditional insurance, and this National Local Government Vulnerability Program.

JLT pro-actively works with the Australian Government, state/territory governments, the Australian Local Government Association, state associations, professional standard bodies and state/territory chapters, local government CEO groups, self-managed local government schemes/Mutuals, insurance, insurers and reinsurers.
